JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - The Ball State softball team closed its 11-game spring break trip on a high note, picking up two more shutout wins Saturday afternoon at Jacksonville's Pruitt Softball Complex.
With the 10-0 (5 inning) win over Georgetown and the 3-0 victory over Presbyterian, the Cardinals (18-9) upped its current winning streak to a season-high six games and increased its shutout total to nine on the season, which ties as the 10th-best single season total in program history.
Ball State opened the day firing on all cylinders in the win over the Hoyas (5-16).
