MUNCIE, Ind. - - After starting the year with three matches on the road, Ball State soccer will get its first taste of home cooking Sunday when it welcomes Purdue Fort Wayne to the Briner Sports Complex for its home opener at 1 p.m.
The Cardinals (1-2-0) enter the contest looking to rebound from a pair of tough losses, the latest being a 2-1 setback Thursday night at Cincinnati. Despite the loss, Ball State enters Sunday's showdown versus the Mastodons with a little momentum following a strong final 25 minutes of play versus the Bearcats.
Over the final 25 at UC, the Cardinals upped the pressure and managed six shots and one goal.
