IOWA CITY - The Ball State gymnastics team opened its 2020 season with a solid performance in Big Ten country on Saturday, placing second in a tri-meet at Iowa. BSU's team score placed behind host Iowa and was enough to outscore Air Force.
"We had some really strong performances and we stayed together through some adversity," head coach Joanna Saleem said. "We did some things today that we can build on from here."
On the scoreboard, Stefanie Schweikert's vault, Arden Hudson's beam and Claudia Goyco's floor routine led the Cardinals.
