MUNCIE, Ind. — Wapahani baseball started its season with a bang at the Unionville High School Viking Classic down in Tennessee.
The Raiders left Murfreesboro with a 2-0 record after defeating the Middle Tennessee Monarchs 11-1 in their first game on Thursday and Cornersville 8-5 in the second.
With the second game tied 5-5 in the final inning, senior catcher Tysen Lipscomb crushed a 3-run homer to send Wapahani home victorious. Lipscomb was 3-for-7 on the day with six RBIs. Check out the video of the walkoff homer:
Leadoff man Garett Stanley finished the day with five hits in seven at-bats to lead the way.
