MUNCIE, Ind. — The Seattle Mariners selected Cole Barr on Tuesday in the 15th round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.
Barr, the 444th overall pick, competed locally in high school at Yorktown before embarking on his career in college at Indiana. He spent the past four years at IU, earning a lot of recognition in that time with the Hoosiers.
And with his selection he joined another collegiate prospect with an East Central Indiana connection who was picked up, considering the Houston Astros drafted Ball State pitcher Chayce McDermott.
