MUNCIE, Ind. - Bill Richards, who completed his 48th year as the head men's tennis coach at Ball State University, remains the only coach in school history to receive the President's Medal of Distinction which was presented to him at the 2012 Ball State spring commencement eight years ago today.
This season Richards etched his name further into the Ball State men's tennis record book by earning his 700th career victory Feb. 1 at home against Wright State.
Richards began his head coaching career with the Cardinals in 1973. The winningest men's tennis coach in Ball State and Mid-American Conference history, Richards has amassed a 705-434 (.
