Rich Maloney's raise keeps him at top of the MAC

MUNCIE — Ball State baseball coach Rich Maloney received a three percent pay increase, as approved by the Board of Trustees on Friday, bringing his annual base salary to $206,876. His salary has increased by 65 percent since 2013, when he returned to Ball State after a 10-year stint in the Big Ten with Michigan.

Maloney, who also coached the Cardinals from 1996-2002, is the program's all-time leader in wins with a 359-211-1 record. This year's modest $6,000 raise comes after a 32-36 campaign and an early exit from the Mid-American Conference Tournament, but he's still been well ahead of MAC peers in recent seasons.
