Former Ball State football player Robert Eddins was found dead in a west-side Detroit basement on Tuesday night, according to Detroit's WXYZ 7 Action News.
The 28-year-old Eddins, along with one other man, appeared to have been shot multiple times according to police.
He played for Ball State from 2007-10 and appeared in one NFL game with the Buffalo Bills. During his time at Ball State, he was named All-Mid-American Conference Second Team in both 2009 and 2010.
Police are continuing the investigation.
