MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State baseball team held its annual Scout Day Monday afternoon at First Merchants Ballpark Complex with the Red squad earning a 4-1 victory over the Black team.

“It was a beautiful day and a good turnout from scouts,” head coach Rich Maloney said. “Overall, pitching and defense won out throughout the scrimmage.”

Senior left-handed pitcher Kevin Marnon started for the Black team and struck out four batters over two innings. Fellow senior BJ Butler matched Marnon with four strikeouts for the Red squad in his two innings pitched.
