Recruiting: Ball State basketball fills last open scholarship with 6-foot-8 transfer

MUNCIE, Ind. — In one season at Maryland Eastern Shore, Miryne Thomas flashed his potential. Now the 6-foot-8 forward is looking forward to working on his game at Ball State.

Thomas verbally committed to the Cardinals on Thursday, filling Ball State's last open scholarship. He will sit out the 2018-19 season due to transfer rules and have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

There appears to be a lot of potential in Thomas, who was third on Maryland Eastern Shore in scoring at 11.7 points per game and first in rebounding at 7.8 as a freshman to earn a spot on the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team.
