FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Freshman Joey Ranieri closed with consecutive rounds of 2-under par 69 to finish as the top Ball State golfer this weekend at the Mason Rudolph Championship.
Ranieri was 1 under par over three rounds on the South Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club to tie for 21st in a field of 90 golfers. Timothy Wiseman, who opened with a career-best 67, finished one stroke behind him at even par in a tie for 27th.
Fourth-ranked Vanderbilt, which found itself 15 shots back after the opening round, came from behind to run away with the tournament and defend its title.
