WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue avenged an earlier loss to Ball State this season with a 9-3 win over the Cardinals on Tuesday night. The game was BSU's final midweek game of the season and now the race to the MAC Baseball Championship is on.
Ball State defeated Purdue 6-0 on March 19 but Tuesday in West Lafayette was a different story. BSU led early in the game and scored twice in the 3rd inning to tie the game 3-3 before the home team broke the game open.
Skyler Hunter had a 2-run single and Purdue added a couple more run-scoring hits to score 7 times between the 2nd and 4th innings.
