Mid-December college basketball is back at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Indiana Sports Corp announced Monday the field for the second Indy Classic: Purdue will play Arizona on Dec. 16, and completing the double bill is Ball State vs. Indiana State. Last season, Purdue played Davidson, with Ball State playing Illinois State.
Purdue brings back almost all of its roster that earned a top seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, led by national Player of the Year Zach Edey. Arizona is expected to contend nationally. Both teams suffered unexpected first-round losses in March Madness.
Ball State went 20-12 last season.
