Kansas State football's Julius Brents was selected by the Indianapolis Colits in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Brents, a 6-foot-3, 198-pound cornerback, was drafted No. 44 overall. He is the first K-State cornerback drafted since Duke Shelley went to the Chicago Bears in the sixth round in 2019 and the highest-drafted Wildcat corner since Terence Newman went No. 5 overall to the Dallas Cowboys in 2002.
After three years at Iowa, including an injury redshirt, Brents transferred to Kansas State and seamlessly stepped into the Wildcat lineup, starting all 27 games over the past two seasons.
