YORKTOWN, Ind. — Jamarius Evans had a career day on the ground in Yorktown's 32-13 victory over New Castle.
The junior running back finished with a career-best 145 rushing yards and a touchdown off 17 carries, helping Yorktown rack up 236 yards on the ground — its most since its 319 rushing yard performance against Shelbyville on Sept. 21, 2018. Evans also added seven tackles, including two tackles for loss, a sack and one pass defensed in his effort.
A two-way player, Evans has ran for 205 yards this season, scoring two rushing touchdowns and adding 58 yards in the receiving game.
