NEW CASTLE, Ind. — The votes are in, and the Week 2 winner for The Star Press Football Player of the Week is New Castle's Matt Bell.
Against Indianapolis Tindley, the senior linebacker put up some video-game like numbers, recording 15 tackles (seven solo, two tackles for loss), three forced fumbles, two passes defensed and a quarterback hurry.
It was a strong start to the season for the second-year starter, who finished 2019 with 122 total tackles and two sacks. The 41-0 victory was also the Trojans' first shut out since it beat Shelbyville 50-0 last season.
