MUNCIE, Ind. — There have always been the naysayers, those who doubted what Bryce Cosby was capable of.
Cosby was an undersized, two-star prospect coming out of duPont Manual High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where he earned All-State honors after switching from cornerback to safety. He wasn't recruited by the Power Five schools and instead came to Ball State, where he started all 12 games as a true freshman in 2017. Cosby ended up leading Ball State to its first bowl win in the 2020 Arizona Bowl, where he was named the Defensive Player of the Game.
