Position primer: It's Brandon Wimbush's show for Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND – Brandon Wimbush will be Notre Dame’s starting quarterback when the season starts Sept. 2 against Temple. Brian Kelly made that clear — if it wasn’t already — on Day 1 of fall camp this week.

Wimbush unofficially has had the position locked up since DeShone Kizer declared for the NFL draft in December, and further secured his spot in the spring. The junior has generated a lot of national buzz because of his potential, and Kelly said during spring practices that Wimbush “runs that offense like he’s been running it for years.
