CLEVELAND, Ohio – After leading the Ball State football team to a thrilling overtime win over Western Michigan, sophomore quarterback Drew Plitt has been named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week.
Plitt, a native of Loveland, Ohio, threw for a career-best three touchdown passes and 258 yards in BSU's 42-41 win over Western Michigan in front of a national TV audience on Nov. 13. With the game tied at 28 in the fourth quarter, Plitt set up the go-ahead touchdown with a 22-yard rush and later threw the game-winning, 2-yard score to Kyle Schrank in overtime.
