MUNCIE, Ind. –– Muncie Central boys basketball may have fell 62-38 to Kokomo, but something was different about such a loss than in previous seasons. Smiles and laughter filled the wooden bleachers on the floor and the concrete seats above as fans packed the near-century-old Muncie Fieldhouse.
Though Central was down 14 after the third quarter with little chance of claiming victory, members of the community commented on the program’s turnaround. Sure, the Bearcats have lost three games in a row, but their seven wins so far this season are three more than their combined total over the last two seasons.
