MUNCIE, Ind. — You could feel the excitement that crept through Worthen Arena late Saturday night.
When Yorktown jumped out to a 9-0 lead during the fourth set of the IHSAA volleyball Class 4A state title match, that's when the smiles began. Because with each point, Yorktown inched closer and closer to defeating Munster. With each point, another Tigers player caved into the excitement of the opportunity they saw ahead of them and let out a grin. Even Tigers' coach Stephanie Bloom and senior Ellee Stinson, both of whom remained composed for most match, eventually let their excitement show.
