MUNCIE, Ind. — "The MAC in women’s basketball is different. I’m not comparing it to any other sport, but I’m just telling you now, it’s different. ... You got to have a level of toughness, you’ve got to be ready to play."
That was Ball State women's basketball head coach Brady Sallee following the Cardinals' loss against Buffalo on Feb. 16. Ball State lost by five points that game. Twelve of the 15 Mid-American Conference games it has played to this point have been decided by single digits.
Ball State is 9-8 in the MAC, with seven of its eight league losses being decided by seven points or less, and 16-11 overall.
