When Ball State students left campus for spring break, some of us had an eye on our men’s basketball team. After all, they had tied Central Michigan for the best record in the Western Division of the Mid-American Conference with a 19-13 overall record. They headed into the battleground of a contested conference tournament with the prize of a MAC Title and Ball State’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2000.
