MUNCIE, Ind. – Visiting Ohio capitalized on an errant throw in the top of the 10th inning to score six runs en route to a 12-6 win over the Ball State baseball team Friday afternoon. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Ball State.
The Cardinals (15-12, 2-2 MAC) trailed Ohio (11-14, 2-2) heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, 6-3, but managed to score two runs in the seventh and one more in the eighth to even the score.
Junior Alex Maloney ripped a two-run double off the left field wall to bring Ball State to within one run, 6-5.
