MUNCIE, Ind. — If signing a recruiting class while preparing for a conference championship game later that same week is a problem, Ball State football coach Mike Neu will take that problem every year.
Speaking Dec. 16 after BSU announced 18 prospects had signed with the team during the early signing period, Neu was reflecting on a group of athletes who’d join the program just two days before the Cardinals would win the Mid-American Conference title. He commended both the signees and his staff for not just handling a recruiting process that played out during a pandemic, but one that ended for those 18 prospects as the team also prepared to face the Bulls.
