CLEVELAND, Ohio – Sophomore infielder Noah Powell was named the Mid-American Conference Baseball Player of the Week the league announced today. This was the third time in six weeks a Ball State player has come away with this honor.
Powell helped the Cardinals become the first league team to win a series at Kent State since April 2015 this past weekend. He hit his first collegiate home run in Friday's opener, a two-run shot, to give the Cardinals an early 2-0 lead on the way to a 5-1 victory. The shortstop also had an RBI single in Friday's victory.
