NEW CASTLE, Ind. — As the mist kept falling on Neal Field Friday night, New Castle football players, coaches and their families met on the field.
The final score from the Sectional 21 first round game was 43-0 in favor of Greenfield-Central. It was much different than the one-point loss the Trojans had against the same Cougars team a week earlier, but it was a loss nonetheless.
And with it, New Castle's (2-8) football season came to an end.
But as the rain worsened and Greenfield-Central celebrated before making its way to the busses, New Castle's players stayed on the field.
