MUNCIE, Ind. — Donning their all-green jerseys, New Castle ran onto the court a few minutes after Delta had already began their warmups. Toward the back of the pack of Trojans' players was William Grieser; the senior guard, who had a brace on his right ankle, was preparing to play in his first game this season.
He wasn't in the starting lineup but once Grieser subbed into the game with 3:30 left in the first quarter, he didn't come back out until the final moments. Grieser's only basket — a 3-pointer early in the third quarter — gave New Castle its first lead.
