MUNCIE, Ind. -- After leading Ball State to a runaway victory with the best performance of his young collegiate career, Joey Ranieri was named MAC Men's Golfer of the Week.
Ranieri was nearly flawless over three days at the Golfweek Conference Challenge on the Donald Ross Course at Cedar Rapids Country Club. The reigning MAC Freshman of the Year made only one bogey over 54 holes, finishing tied for second with a career-best score of 209 (-7) in the first event of his sophomore season.
The Zionsville, Indiana, product paced the Cardinals to a 15-stroke team victory, the program's largest margin in a decade.
