MUNCIE — Ball State’s offense is hot. Clicking. Firing on all cylinders.
No matter how you say it, at the core of the group shooting 42 percent from 3-point range in Mid-American Conference play is Naiel Smith. The junior point guard is dishing out nearly six assists for every turnover in his last five games.
“I don’t really care how (many) assists I get, or how much of this, or that, I get,” Smith said. “I just want to end up with the ‘W’ and I’m going to do whatever it takes to get that.”
As Ball State (11-5, 2-1) prepares to host Miami (6-10, 0-3) on Saturday, its confidence is up.
