MUNCIE, Ind. — Muncie's American Legion Post 19 Chiefs baseball team likes to have fun.
During a doubleheader Saturday at Lafferty Field in McCulloch Park — the team's first home games after more than half-dozen rainouts this season — there wasn't much time spent when someone wasn't cracking a joke or teasing one of their teammates.
Perhaps the biggest eruption came in the squad's second game against Crawfordsville when Wapahani graduate Nolan Dudley stood at the plate after a called strike. It was the third strike of the at-bat but, for a moment, the game continued like Dudley was still alive in the count.
