MUNCIE — Jay Greer walked into the Muncie PAL Club last August unsure of his weight. He didn’t want to weigh himself because he knew he wouldn’t like what he would see.
At 256 pounds, the recent divorcee needed a change.
Seven months later, Greer has dropped nearly 100 pounds and the 27-year-old is on the verge of fighting in the 178-pound weight class at the Indiana Golden Gloves boxing tournament, which begins Thursday at Tyndall Armory in Indianapolis.
“I’m just living the flat life, and I’m loving it,” Greer said.
Along with Yorktown graduate Sean Jones and former Ball State football player Eric Kuznar, the Muncie PAL Club will be well represented when the single elimination tournament begins Thursday and runs the following five weeks.
