MUNCIE, Ind. — Chase Wright re-emerged on the PGA Tour in a big way over the weekend at the Safeway Open in Napa, Calif.
The Muncie native and 2008 Delta graduate finished in a four-way tie for 10th place in his first PGA Tour event since 2012. Wright placed higher than the likes of Phil Mickelson, Hunter Mahan and Fred Couples. He earned a paycheck of $153,600.
Wright was at his best in the opening round, carding an eight-under 64 that featured six birdies and an eagle. He played the final seven holes of his round at six under par.
