MUNCIE, Ind. — There was already plenty of excitement and anticipation surrounding the Muncie Burris boys basketball team coming into this season. After having its season-opener pushed back a week due to a COVID-19 shutdown, those feelings have only gotten stronger.
That's because the Owls are coming off their best season in nearly a decade. Looking back at it, eighth-year head coach Joseph Anderson sees the shutdown as a blessing in disguise.
Of course, having to push back the season was less than ideal, but it allowed Burris to get some of its key players healthy and continue to build up the anticipation for what it hopes to be another successful season.
