MUNCIE, Ind. — The second phase of the re-entry of high school sports in Indiana began Monday.
For the past two weeks, schools across the state have been able to hold voluntary workouts with athletes, allowing a maximum of 15 hours of practice and conditioning activities per week. In East Central Indiana, schools are moving forward with their return-to-play plans as none have reported any positive COVID-19 cases among their athletes.
When compared to Phase 1, the main difference in Phase 2 is that limited contact will be allowed and football players can wear helmets and shoulder pads.
