FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Led by a career-best performance from Hadley Moritz, the Ball State women's golf team tied for sixth place out of 13 teams in a quality field at Colorado State's Ptarmigan Ram Classic.
Moritz closed with a round of 73 on Tuesday to tie for fourth place at 4 over par, just three shots behind medalist Lexi Perry of Boise State. The BSU sophomore played her final 52 holes of the tournament in even par.
The Cardinals also counted scores of 75 from Liz Kim and Manon Tounalom and a 77 from Morgan Lewis on the way to a final-round team total of 300, their best of the tournament.
