BEALLSVILLE, Md. -- The Ball State women's golf team played its way into a tie for second place through Monday's opening 36 holes at the Hoya Invitational.
The Cardinals will enter Tuesday's final round within shouting distance of the lead, trailing tournament host Georgetown by 16 shots. They are tied with Richmond for the No. 2 spot at Four Streams Golf Club with a two-round total of 608 (+32).
Hadley Moritz led the way Monday for BSU with rounds of 75 and 74 to end the day in seventh place at 149 (+5). The freshman was 3 under par for her second round through the early going after an eagle at her fifth hole, the par-5 13th.
