Two East Central Indiana players from two of the best teams in Class 2A were named to the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association's Class 2A All-State team.
Monroe Central Joel Kennedy and Gavin Lash earned All-State honors at catcher and third base, respectively.
From behind the plate, Kennedy caught 16 runners stealing. He was also one of the best hitters on the Golden Bears, which featured six starters who hit above .300. Kennedy had a .394 batting average to go along with 37 hits, a team-high 52 RBIs, nine doubles and seven home runs.
