PARKER CITY, Ind. — Monroe Central has been a dominant regular-season team over the last three years with 24 wins. The only thing missing has been a championship.
The Class 1A No. 5 Golden Bears will get another shot at that next week after they beat Clinton Prairie 42-12 in the sectional semifinals on Friday night. It will be their third straight appearance in the final game.
And for the third straight year, Monroe Central will be on the road. This time against a tough Sheridan team that has cruised through the first two rounds.
"It's not easy, but it can be a great result," Monroe Central coach John Hochstetler said.
