PARKER CITY, Ind. — Before Monroe Central’s football season ever kicked off Aug. 21 against Wabash, the Golden Bears had a goal.
Sure, junior Jackson Ullom knew there were people who doubted what he and his teammates could accomplish. There were those who wondered if the team would be average, instead of a group with the potential to be one of the area’s best. But Ullom and company, they had a goal.
The Golden Bears wanted to win the Mid-Eastern Conference championship, in turn besting a fellow Class A program in Wes-Del and two 2A programs in Eastern Hancock and Shenandoah.
