Jeremy Hazelbaker, a Ball State baseball player from 2007-09, is the breakout star of the 2016 Major League Baseball season. A veteran of 751 minor league games, the St. Louis Cardinals outfielder finally got his shot out of spring training this year and made the most of it.
Hazelbaker made news belting three homeruns and at one point driving in runs in five straight games. He was one of three Cardinals to hit a pinch-hit homerun April 8th, a Major League record. The Selma native then went 4-for-4 in St. Louis' home opener to further grow his legend.
