KISSIMMEE, FLA. - - Thanks to another dominating performance from Aeshia Miles, the Ball State softball team closed play in the Citrus Classic II with a 1-0 victory over Niagara Sunday morning at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Miles followed up Friday's no-hitter versus Robert Morris with perhaps an even more dominating performance against the Purple Eagles (3-9), striking out a career-high 14 batters and retiring the side in order in five of the seven innings.
Niagara's lone base runners; a leadoff walk in the second inning to ruin the perfect game and a fifth-inning two-out single to spoil the no-hitter.
