MUNCIE, Ind. – The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced the preseason poll and the preseason all-MIVA team Thursday afternoon.
Ohio State, the reigning national champions, earned eight first place votes placing them at the top of list. Lewis fell right behind them in second place and Loyola had 62 points for third. The Ball State Cardinals earned 53 points and sit at fourth place in the preseason standings.
The Cardinals also have two players on the preseason All-MIVA team, Brendan Surane and Matt Walsh. Surane, a senior outside hitter, earned his third letter last season and was named to the All-MIVA Second Team.
