FAIRFAX, Va. -- The No. 15 Ball State (5-3) men’s volleyball team rallied for a five-set victory over George Mason (1-6, 1-0 EIVA) Saturday evening at the Recreation & Athletic Complex. After falling in the first two sets 25-19 and 25-18, the Cardinals rebounded to win three straight sets 25-20, 25-21, and 15-9 for the 3-2 victory.
Helping the Cardinals battle through an astounding 40 tie scores and eight lead changes was junior Brendan Surane with 12 kills and five blocks on the night, while junior Mike Scannell tallied seven kills and three block assists.
