SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The 10th ranked Ball State men's volleyball team took in UC Santa Barbara Saturday night in the closing match of their Spring Break road trip. The Cardinals were taken down by the 14th ranked Gauchos, 3-0 (13-25, 17-25, 19-25).
Ball State struggled in the match, only knocking down 26 kills for a .071 hitting percentage. The Cardinals finished the night with 30 digs and 6.0 total team blocks. Matt Szews led the team in kills with seven. David Siebum added six kills while Ryan Dorgan and Mitch Weiler each notched two.
