Men's Volleyball Defeats Lewis in First of Two Matches

MUNCIE, Ind. -- No. 9 Ball State took down No. 14 Lewis in a 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-23) victory Thursday night in Worthen Arena.

It was a slow start for the Cardinals as Lewis took control of the first set early. Ball State's only lead of the first frame was their opening point from an opponent error. After that point, Lewis held the upper hand and jumped to a 3-1 advantage. The Flyers slowly pulled away, seeing their biggest lead at 12-7. Ball State was able to get back within one after a four-point run that included three consecutive kills from Patrick Rogers, narrowing the score to 12-11.
