TOLEDO, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team (10-9, 2-2 MAC) suffered a 4-3 loss in a hard fought battle Friday afternoon in Mid-American Conference action at Toledo (10-11, 1-3 MAC). The two conference teams competed to the very end but the Cardinals came up short this time.
The Cardinals got off to a good start after taking the early 1-0 edge over Toledo in doubles action. Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz earned a 6-2 victory on the top court over Stejpan Sisko and Omar Espinosa. The No. 2 doubles tandem of Conner Andersen and Tom Carney secured the doubles point after claiming a 6-3 decision over Vince Anzalone and Juan Carranza.
