MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (11-11, 2-3 MAC) suffered a heartbreaking Mid-American Conference loss to Western Michigan (13-7, 4-1 MAC) Friday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
The Broncos took the early 1-0 advantage over the Cardinals to start the match after winning the doubles portion. Western Michigan clinched that point on courts two and three. At the No. 3 doubles position, WMU's Jannik Dpitz and Eric Olivarez earned a 6-4 win over the Ball State twosome of Marko Guzina and Patrick Downs. The top court did not finish their match but Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz were up 5-4 over Daniel Loebel and Kennosuke Nouchi 5-4.
