Men’s Tennis Closes Fall Play At WMU Sunday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State men's tennis team wraps up its fall season Sunday afternoon at the Mid-American Indoor Individual Championship at Western Michigan.

Two rounds of singles were played Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Lucas Andersen advanced to the championship match in Flight 1 singles after defeating Petr Vodak of Buffalo 6-2, 6-2 and host Maik Steiner of Western Michigan 6-2, 7-5. Lucas Andersen will face the Broncos Kennosuke Nouchi in the finals.

In Flight 2 singles, Andrew Stutz began the day with a three set thriller over Northern Illinois' Carlos Manzanas (6-7 (3), 6-4, 10-8), he would then lose in the quarterfinals to Western Michigan's Jannik Opitz, 7-6 (0), 7-6 (3).
