NORMAN, Okla. -- The Ball State men's golf team was honored this week as one of 59 schools to earn Presidents Special Recognition by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) by posting a 2024-25 Team GPA of 3.5 or better.
Perhaps even more impressive, the Cardinals are just 1 of 14 NCAA Division I teams to earn the Presidents Special Recognition as well as advance as far as the 2024 NCAA Men's Golf Regional. Ball State, the champions of the Mid-American Conference, finished 10th in the NCAA's Chapel Hill Regional last May. Other schools sharing both distinctions include: California, Colorado State, Duke, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Lipscomb, Loyola Maryland, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Southern Illinois, Vanderbilt and Yale.
